Opinion - BGMI in India Right or Wrong?

BGMI to be released soon in India

Pubg was banned last year as a Government's IT minstry's concern towards Indian Cyber Security under section 69A. Players Unknown Battleground Mobile was released on 23 March 2017. It gained a good amount of downloads and after some days, it got too famous in India with millions of users. PUBG was released in India by Tencent and Krafton.

Tencent Holding founded in 1998, is a multibillion tech giant with a market cap of $773.8 billion. Tencent is an investing company it is one of the most successful companies in the world. Tencent is based in China and has invested in most of the gaming companies. Tencent has invested in some famous companies like Riot Games, Funcom, Supercell, Epic Games, Sea Limited(Garena), and more.

PUBG was banned in India with some other Chinese apps as there was border tension between India and China. IT ministry is concerned about data theft of Indian citizens and the use of data for inappropriate use. One of the famous Chinese Video app 'TikTok' was also banned.

So I think, India's relationship with China is not so good. A market of Chinese apps accruing Indian cyberspace is a matter of concern. This can lead to cyberwarfare and China will be at a great advantage. A game cannot be more important than the cyber security of the country.

PUBG is coming back to India with its new name Battleground Mobile India, released by Krafton. They have changed all the changes needed in the game required in PUBG. Indian IT ministry has given permission to launch BGMI in India.

As the Indian IT ministry has given permission, I assume they have taken the decision in respect of all the future consequences. Tencent is still holding company in Krafton. We all hope all goes good and if BGMI is released with no problems and with full clearance, it will once again flourish Indian Gaming Industry.
